Imagine Heaven

God is coming back.  He's coming in the clouds to take us home to be with him. Can you imagine how heaven will look?

It's interesting that when we want to describe what Heaven will be like, we mention the things we're most fond of.  For instance, those who like to fish and hunt hope they'll be able to hunt and fish in Heaven.  Those who love music lean toward music.  Then there are those who love to plant flowers and gardens.

To be honest, we'll never know what it will really be like until Christ takes us home.  I don't think we'll be missing any activities on earth.  We won't miss the tears, pain, and sorrows. We're told in the Bible that there'll be no more pain. Our bodies will be new, glorified.  There's a lot of speculation on that as well. I wonder if we'll be a type of spirit without our fleshly bodies.

The streets will be pure gold.  There'll be mansions.  A river.  The tree of life.  There'll be no sun.  Jesus will be the light.

When Christ rose from the dead, the disciples were able to see Him physically. They could see the nail prints in his hands and feet.  The place where the spear entered his body was visible.  He ate with his disciples.  He walked.

This gives us a clue as to what will be in Heaven and what won't be in Heaven. To me, if you could see the scars on Jesus, then wouldn't that indicate his body was still flesh?  This is one of those questions we may never know till we reach Heaven.

One thing I do believe is that we'll worship and praise the King of kings and Lord of lords.  He's our master. Our Savior.  Confidant. Counselor.  He's the Almighty, the first and last, beginning and end.  And there is none like Him.  Nor will there ever be any like Him.

The devil can imitate him, clone him, do miracles like him, but the devil is a liar.  He does these things to deceive God's children.  Nothing that the devil copies can be as good or grand as what Jesus does.

For Jesus is love.  Jesus is the Only One who saves from sin.  He died on the cross and rose from the grave so we could have the gift of eternal life.  Wasn't that what the Lord intended when he created the Garden of Eden?  He wanted the best for his children.  And we will have the best when we get to Heaven.

No one should have to miss Heaven.  The gift of life is free.  All we have to do is accept it.  All we have to do is ask Christ into our hearts and lives.  He'll forgives us of our sins.  Sure there'll be troubles here on earth.  We'll still get sick physically, mentally, emotionally.  The Lord didn't promise to take those out of our lives.  But he promised to go through these troubling times with us.  To make us stronger.

Give you heart to Jesus.  You will never regret it.  If you're hurting, grieving, worried about something, talk to the Lord about it.  He'll give you the comfort you need.  He'll always be with us to guide us. Just listen to his still small voice.
