Are You Looking for a Miracle?

Not too long ago, I was watching a show with a familiar theme. Like a lot of western shows, this episode was about a so-called faith healer. He supposedly healed a man and made him able to walk again. The one thing I noticed first is the "faith healer" asked the cripple if he believed in the man who was the healer.

That was a red flag for me. For one thing, believing in a human being to heal you doesn't work. We can't heal anyone by our own merits. We don't have that kind of power in and of ourselves. The only way we can heal someone is through the Lord Jesus Christ. And then we're not the ones doing the healing. We can allow God to use us as his instruments to heal.

There have been evangelists/missionaries who have gone to other countries and allowed the Lord to use them to raise someone from the dead. But it was the Lord who raised the person from the dead, not the minister.

This was the first time I had ever heard on a show the main character tell someone there was only one person who can heal. Of course, I knew he was talking about God.

There are many needs in the world. So many are hurting, lonely, sick, cold, hungry. They need a miracle in their lives. They need someone to not only give them food, shelter, medicine, but also to be told there is hope for them.

There is hope of eternal salvation. Jesus died on the cross and rose from the grave so we could have eternal life. He'll soon return to take us home to be with him. Are you ready to meet him? Do you know the true miracle worker? If not, please give your heart to him now. There's little time left before he returns for his bride.

If you know him as your Savior and need a miracle in your life, call on him. Ask him for mercy, guidance, healing, and strength. He'll never leave or forsake you. He will meet your need. All you have to do is ask.

The Wandering Heart

Has your heart ever wandered from God? Mine has. My heart has been crying out to the Lord. Wondering why I haven't been healed. Why I feel so lethargic. I have been running from the Lord. I have been disobeying the Lord for several years. I allowed Satan to have victory over me. Not anymore.
When you allow someone to be used to hinder your ministry, you're in effect allowing the devil to have victory in your life. Your Christian life has become a heap of rubble. And when you stand before the Lord, you will have to give an answer as to why you disobeyed the Lord.

There is nothing you can say. For there are no excuses. All you can do is hang you head in shame. Including me.

I was crying out to God this morning, wondering why I felt so bad physically. Why I had no strength to do the chores needed around the house. Because I feel so bad, I used it as an excuse to not write or sing specials at Church.

Then he reminded me of a dear elderly saint on social media who cries for interceding prayers each day. Prayers for healing, strength, and mercy. Prayers to help her obey the Lord with her writing. She isn't the only Christian saint who struggles on a daily basis. There are many pastors and missionaries around the world who struggle with physical diseases. They continue to go about doing the Lord's work in spite of their physical problems.

A local pastor recently passed away with Covid. His family and Church are heartbroken. He obeyed the Lord when he was called to preach. By many accounts, people would think that his disability should've kept him from preaching, driving, and performing many other activities. You know what his disability was? He didn't have any arms.

So, if these two people can continue to obey the Lord through their illnesses and disabilities, then we can follow their example and obey the Lord as well.

If you're not saved, please give your heart to the Lord. He has something for you to do. If you're saved but not following the Lord's will for your life, then please repent and do what he has called you to do. You will never regret getting saved or obeying the Lord.

Down Memory Lane

When I was a child at my former home church, we would have "dinner on the ground" on Easter Sunday. This didn't always happen on a yearly basis. It depended on whether or not the members would have their grandchildren home. If so, we had dinner after the service and and the kids would hunt the eggs. I wasn't very good at finding the eggs. If the members weren't having company during Easter, we'd go home for dinner.

Back in the day, we as a nation would honor the Lord during Easter. We knew why we were Christians. We knew the reason Christ died on the cross. He died and rose from the grave so we could have eternal life. I also remember all the stores and restaurants closed every Sunday, especially for Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Now, we're blessed if the church is full on specials occasions, much less on a regular basis.

Let's take a stroll down memory lane. Let's visualize what it would've been like to watch Christ die on the cross. What would we think? How would we feel? Would we be afraid, or would we worship our Lord and Savior?

Then you learn that Jesus had risen from the dead. Would you believe that he was risen? Or would you believe the lie that the disciples stole his body? Would you, like Thomas, have to see Jesus to believe that he truly had risen from the dead?

There's nothing wrong with hunting Easter eggs and giving candy and gifts for Easter. But which is most important in our lives? I'll let you decide.

The Calm Before The Storm

This year has started off as a continuation of last year. As many of you know, there are some issues with the presidential election. Our country has fallen. Or so it seems. How do we deal with this? What are we supposed to do?

First of all, we must stay in the Word of God. And pray like we have never prayed before. The Bible teaches that society will become worse than ever before. We are seeing Bible prophecy coming true in front or our eyes. Actually, we're living during the end times. We're on the threshold of the great tribulation.

What we're seeing now is nothing compared to how things will be during the tribulation. As a Christian, we're taught to not be fearful chaos and violence. But being human, we sometimes fail at that. Some well-meaning Christians who are much stronger tend to chide us about being fearful. Right now, more than ever before, we need the Lord's comfort, peace, and courage. This is the time of decision. We have to make a choice; heaven or hell; Christ or Satan.

I don't know what will happen in the next couple of weeks. But we must be sure to ask for wisdom and guidance from our Lord. It's hard when you don't know who to trust with the news media. Everyone seems to think they know what will happen. A friend on Facebook said he was gonna get his popcorn, sit back and watch the movie.

And it does seem like we're watching a movie playing before our very eyes. In less than a week, we have seen our government taken over by the minions of Satan. And I'm not afraid to say that it's scary to see our government in such upheaval. We no longer know who to believe.

Let me assure you that the Lord knows everything that is happening right now. It won't be long folks before he comes back to take us home to be with him. What we're seeing is something you would expect to see in some third world country.

America has sinned against God. He gave us four years to change and get our acts together. We have failed. The Lord is lifting his hand of protection from this country.

People, if you're not saved, please give your heart and life to Christ right now. All you have to do is admit you're a sinner. Believe the Christ was born of a virgin, died on the cross, rose from the grave, and ascended up into heaven. Then confess your sins to him and ask him to save you from your isns.

You really don't want to be left behind in this world. You think things are bad now, you ain't seen nothing yet. The tribulation will be ten times worse. And you will have to make a choice between Christ and Satan. Believe me, if you get right with God now, you won't have to go through the danger during the tribulation.

If you have been just doing what is needed to get by or you aren't as strong a Christian as you should be, then ask Jesus to help you grow stronger. For the only hope today in this chaos is Jesus Christ.

Obeying the Will of God

Has God called you into the ministry? Is there something he wants you to do? Do you know what it is that he wants you to do? Are you willing to obey him, no matter what? Have you ever disobeyed his will for your life?

I have. And I feel so guilty. But all we have to do is come to him and ask forgiveness. Then go and obey him. Sounds simple, doesn't it. It is simple, but we make it hard. Let's look at it a minute.

Choose Who You Will Serve

There's something in the air. What is it? There are so many voices, so many actions going on. Chaos around the world. And even here in the United States, there is so much evil going on. We're facing a turning point in our country. We must choose not only carefully, but prayerfully as well.

America on Fire

Do you sense a difference in our country? Most everyone who at least reads or hear the headlines know there is many things going on our world. There are wildfires burning in at least ten different states, but the worst ones which we hear about are in California and Oregon. Whether they were started by arsonists, campfires, or nature, the fires are burning out of control. The first responders are tired and hungry. They miss their families. Those who live in the areas are losing their homes to these fires. Everything they have worked for are being destroyed by the fires. And even animals are being rescued, with some having been burnt. They also are in pain.
